Building Virtual Worlds 2008

Theatrical experiences created through code. Nacho Brothers, Ice-Block Artists

I feel very fortunate to have been able to take the Building Virtual Worlds course at the Entertainment Technology Center during my senior year at Carnegie Mellon.

BVW is a course which takes a team of four people and gives them two weeks to create an interactive experience. I served as a programmer for my teams, and had two of my worlds make it into the end-of-year show.

All worlds were created on Panda3D, an open-source 3D game engine built on top of Python. I built worlds with such platforms as the Head-Mounted Display, Playmotion, and Computer Vision Audience Interaction.
